“LILA GIVES A COMPELLING PERFORMANCE”
“Clements fills the space with her story and vividly paints the picture in our minds as she recalls what happened on one particular day.”
Lila is a Scottish actor, writer and singer based in London. Originally from Dundee, she felt the pull across the border to train at the prestigious Rose Bruford College.
Since graduating, Lila has built up an extensive list of acting credits and has worked at many theatres across the UK including Royal Shakespeare Company, Park Theatre, Hull Truck Theatre and Shakespeare’s Globe. Her filming experience includes the BBC drama Dangerous Desires and many short films.
Her natural Scottish lilt has made her a popular voice over artist, recently recording for BT Sport covering the Europa League. Other voice over credits include campaigns for companies such as National Lottery, Union Square, BBC3, B&Q, Dorothy Perkins and David Lloyd.
Coming from a musical background, Lila is also a highly trained mezzo-soprano singer and plays flute, saxophone and autoharp. Her musical skills have led her to work on projects with St. George’s Hospital Charity, providing music and song for long term patients as well as encouraging creative writing within an arts in healthcare setting.
Recently, Lila has turned her hand to writing for stage and screen. Her first short play was selected by Tamasha Theatre for a regional voices new writing programme and she is currently developing material for Pitlochry Festival Theatre and 365 Women A Year; a global program aimed at writing women from history back in social consciousness.
When she’s not performing, Lila can be found running half marathons, practicing yoga and traveling.
